Dear Lynn,
The Gminor cello sonata is one of my favourite Rachmaninov works. Thank you for sharing the video of your performance (and your other insights on this blog). I’ll be dropping by more often.
I’m writing a short introductory/amateur/armchair listener post on Rachmaninov on my blog, and with your permission, may I add a link to the video of your Gmin cello sonata performance with Wang yuja?

Thank you. The Rachmaninov has been a frequent list on recital programs- although in the recent years one is obliged to use a formidable artist with the piano part. I know that Ashkenazy started work on it a year before we toured and performed and then recorded the complete works of Rachmaninov for cello!

Dear Lynn,
It was thrilling to hear your Rachmaninoff, a truly inspired performace. Your playing has always made me say, "I want to do it like him"! Best wishes with your upcoming Brahms Double in Alabama, would love to make it for that.

I just finished listening to your recording of Beethoven's 4th cello sonata on the radio and I thought it was amazing. The secand movement was incredible, especially the opening slow section. I think you might be the greatest cellist in the world, and a brilliant collaborator. I also heard your, Pearlman, and Ashkenazy's incredible recording of Tchaikovsky's piano trio. Keep up the good work, and I hope you get a chance to do Walkure someday!

Last night's performance was great.Love your encore piece of Chopin!!

Christoph Eschenbach did lead the China Philharmonic very well. The orchestra was astonishing in interpreting the first symphony of Brahms. The potential of the orchestra was fully mobilized. They dot every i and cross every t to make the sound profound and unique. I was so proud that CPO could sound like that!!

MR.Harrell:

Glad to see that you had a wonderful music making process with Yujia Wang.
Now Yujia Wang is probably the most excellent pianist in China (some say that she has more potential than LangLang).I'm in Beijing right now and will attend your Dvorak concert next Saturday because early this month I was invited by one of my friends in the China Philharmonic.

I'm a big fan of classical music and just got admitted into several US law schools.I chose to go to IU-Bloomington because its music school is most prestigious among the six admissions I got.

I hope to meet you in person in the near future. I'm a young man who deeply loves and adores your music.
